“JnU Students’ Union Election: “Oikyoboddho Nirbhik Jobian” vs “M

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming Jagannath University Central Students’ Union election set for December 22. The panel, consisting of 21 members, is composed of leaders from JnU Chhatra Dal, Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, and student representatives from cultural groups. The panel, named “Oikyoboddho Nirbhik Jobian,” was introduced by JCD central president Rakibul Islam Rakib at approximately 1:00pm yesterday.

The panel has put forward AKM Rakib, the president of JnU Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, as the candidate for the vice-president position, and Khadijatul Kubra, a joint convener of JnU Chhatra Dal who faced a 15-month imprisonment under the Cyber Security Act, for the general secretary role. BM Atikur Rahman Tanzil has been nominated for the assistant general secretary position.

Concurrently, representatives from nine left-leaning political, social, and cultural organizations have revealed a collaborative panel named “Maulana Bhashani Brigade.” The announcement was made by Shamsul Alam Maruf, the general secretary of the JnU unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Front.

Gourab Bhoumik, president of the JnU unit of Udichi Shilpi Gosthi, has been chosen for the vice-president post, while Evan Tahsib, president of JnU Chhatra Front, is the nominee for the general secretary position. Maruf has been slated for the assistant general secretary role in the 21-member panel.

As per the organizers, the coalition comprises nine organizations, including Chhatra Front, Chhatra Union, Chhatra Moitri, Udichi, Sangskritik Kendro, Rastrochinta, Chintak, Band Music Association, and JnU Rongovumi.
