Hollywood actor Jason Momoa has showered compliments on Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, lauding him as a “gentleman” and even going as far as to label him a “superior actor and performer.”
The duo initially captured global attention in 2019 when a picture of them posing together at the Joy Awards in Saudi Arabia circulated widely. The star-studded snapshot also included Jackie Chan and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Since then, Momoa and Shah Rukh have had several encounters, most recently meeting again in Saudi Arabia.
During the promotion of his upcoming movie “The Wrecking Crew,” in which he stars alongside Dave Bautista, Momoa shared his thoughts with Indian publication Pinkvilla about his interactions with the Indian icon.
“He’s undeniably good-looking. Incredibly good-looking,” Momoa commented with a grin when asked about Shah Rukh. Recalling their discussions, he mentioned that they both have a deep respect for each other’s craft.
“He’s a gem. A true gentleman,” Momoa expressed. “He excels as an actor and performer more than I do. Our respect for each other is mutual.”
Momoa embarked on his acting career with “Baywatch: Hawaii” in 1999 and later starred in “Stargate Atlantis.” His breakthrough role came as Khal Drogo in “Game of Thrones,” propelling him to international stardom as “Aquaman” in the DC Extended Universe, including appearances in “Justice League” and his standalone “Aquaman” movies.
In recent times, he has featured in series like “Frontier,” “See,” and “Chief of War,” and taken on roles in major blockbusters such as “Dune” and “Fast X.” Momoa is also gearing up to portray “Lobo” in “Supergirl” as part of James Gunn’s revamped DC Universe.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan continues to stand out as one of the most beloved and globally renowned stars of Indian cinema. With a career spanning more than three decades, he has delivered a plethora of box-office hits and clinched a National Film Award for Best Actor. Currently, he is preparing for the release of his upcoming movie “King,” where his daughter Suhana Khan will also feature, scheduled to hit theaters this Christmas.
Momoa’s genuine admiration once again underscores the cross-cultural respect between two of the world’s most prominent screen figures.
