Negotiators representing Israel and Hamas have initiated indirect talks in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, to discuss a potential hostage-prisoner swap and ceasefire in Gaza, as per reports from Egyptian state-affiliated media. Al-Qahera News, associated with state intelligence, mentioned that the delegations are engaged in conversations aimed at setting up the necessary conditions for the release of detainees and prisoners, aligning with a proposal put forth by US President Donald Trump to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza. The report further indicated that Egyptian and Qatari mediators are collaborating with both parties to establish a framework for the exchange.
