Gold prices are poised for a decline following the announcement by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) of a reduction in rates. Starting Wednesday, gold will be priced at Tk 206,907 per bhori, representing a decrease of Tk 1,364 or 0.65% from the previous rate of Tk 208,272 per bhori that has been in effect since November 16. This marks the second time this week that the prices of gold are expected to decrease. Notably, on October 20, gold reached a record high of Tk 217,381 per bhori in the local market, driven by a surge in the global market.
