“Fatal Attack on Suspected Robbers in Gaibandha Village”

Two unknown individuals were fatally attacked by a group in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha earlier this morning, as reported by the police. Law enforcement sources revealed that the men were believed to be involved in a robbery attempt when they were apprehended by local inhabitants and subjected to violence, resulting in their demise. The incident transpired at Khoddo Mohajidpur village around 4:00am. Alim Uddin, the officer‑in‑charge of Sadullapur Police Station, informed The Daily Star that “Shortly before sehri today, a group of residents pursued and assaulted two suspects engaged in an alleged robbery near a school in Khoddo Mojahidpur village, causing their immediate death.” The OC further stated that the police have recovered the bodies and transferred them to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
