“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Hits Record-Breaking Success

-

Japanese anime is widely beloved worldwide, with one standout franchise being Demon Slayer. The 2020 release of “Mugen Train” from this franchise surpassed all expectations, becoming Japan’s highest-grossing film ever. Following this success, two more films were released, each continuing the trend of strong performance. Now, fans can anticipate the arrival of a new movie titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle” on the big screen.

The film debuted in Japan on July 18 and subsequently premiered in various countries, including the United States, Canada, and India, on September 12. Recently, on September 16, the movie was screened at Star Cineplex in Bangladesh, as confirmed by Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Marketing Officer of the cinema.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle” is the first part of an upcoming film trilogy based on the immensely popular anime series “Demon Slayer”. This movie adapts the Infinity Castle arc from the manga, where the Demon Slayer Corps ventures into Muzan’s eerie fortress that defies the laws of physics. This arc is considered one of the most thrilling segments of the Demon Slayer manga, leading the Corps into the ultimate confrontation with Muzan.

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film showcases a talented cast of voice actors from Japan, including Natsuki Hanae and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. It sets the stage for the final battle of the Demon Slayer Corps, as Tanjiro and his allies gear up for the ultimate showdown within the Infinity Castle.

Upon its release on July 18, the film raked in 7.31 billion yen in Japan within the initial four days, breaking records for the highest opening day and single-day earnings in the country. Surpassing the 10 billion yen milestone in just eight days, this movie stands as the fastest in Japanese cinema history to reach this monumental achievement.
