“BYD Launches Sealion 5 with DM-i Super Plug-in Hybrid Tech”

BYD, a leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), has introduced the Sealion 5 to the market. The Sealion 5 is equipped with BYD’s innovative DM-i Super Plug-in Hybrid technology, which integrates a 1,500cc high-efficiency engine with an electric motor to achieve a total driving range of up to 1,000 km. This SUV boasts a combined power output of 156 kW and torque of 300 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.

Safety and comfort are paramount in the Sealion 5, featuring seven airbags, the renowned Blade Battery technology, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The interior of the Sealion 5 showcases a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, a panoramic sunroof, and a spacious cabin layout for optimum comfort and convenience, as detailed in the press release.

Buyers can select the Sealion 5 in Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Gray, and Harbour Gray color options.
