“British PM Apologizes for Epstein Ambassador Appointment”

-

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer issued an apology yesterday to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and expressed regret for appointing Peter Mandelson as the US ambassador, who had a close relationship with the deceased sex offender. Starmer admitted that he was unaware of the extent of the connection between Mandelson and Epstein when he designated him for the position in December 2024.

Despite his earlier commitment to disclose the vetting advice he received regarding Mandelson’s appointment, Starmer mentioned that he was now constrained by a police request to avoid releasing any information that could potentially influence an ongoing investigation.

In a separate development, the Kremlin responded yesterday by dismissing inquiries regarding unverified assertions in Western media and from Poland’s leader suggesting that Epstein might have had ties to Russian intelligence.
