BNP has unveiled its potential candidates for 237 out of the 300 parliamentary constituencies in anticipation of the forthcoming national election. Among them, Khaleda Zia has been put forward for candidacy in three seats, specifically Dinajpur-1, Bogura-7, and Feni-1, while the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, is slated to run in Bogura-6.
The list of candidates was disclosed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir during a press conference held this evening at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka. Fakhrul himself will be contesting from Thakurgaon-1.
Fakhrul mentioned that the party opted not to reveal candidates for certain constituencies to accommodate potential allies. He further stated that adjustments to the announced nominations could be made by the Standing Committee if required.
