“BNP Official Optimistic About Return of Caretaker Government”

-

BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury expressed optimism that the reinstatement of the non-party caretaker government system in the constitution will bring about a new era for the country. He highlighted that after a prolonged struggle, the verdict signifies a significant achievement for the BNP, emphasizing the sacrifices made by the people during the absence of the caretaker government.

Khosru made these statements during discussions with journalists following a free medical and health service event at Dhaka University. The Supreme Court’s groundbreaking decision today effectively reinstates the non-party caretaker government system in the constitution to ensure that national elections are conducted in a transparent and credible manner.

The implementation of the non-party caretaker government system will take place before the 14th parliamentary elections, as the upcoming 13th election will proceed under the existing interim government, as per the SC ruling.
