Bogura district BNP leaders have obtained nomination papers today for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) and Bogura-7 (Gabtali and Shajahanpur upazila) constituencies on behalf of acting BNP chairman Tarique Rahman and Chairperson Khaleda Zia, respectively.
The president of Bogura district unit BNP, Rezaul Karim Badsha, collected Tarique’s nomination form from the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman’s office at approximately 12:30 pm. Additionally, Khaleda’s nomination form was procured from the district election office around 2:00 pm.
Helaluzzaman Talukdar, an adviser to the BNP chairperson and a former member of parliament, in the company of other BNP leaders, obtained the nomination form for Khaleda from the senior district election officer, Md Fazlul Karim.
Badsha informed reporters that Tarique Rahman would be contesting in the forthcoming national election from the Bogura Sadar constituency, expressing pride in his decision to choose this seat. Similarly, Helaluzaman stated that they would submit Khaleda’s nomination paper at the appropriate time following discussions with the party and the acting chairman.
