BNP Leader Expresses Concerns Over Election Disruption

-

BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed concerns today about the interim government’s actions potentially causing election disruption. Speaking at a rally in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, Fakhrul lamented the situation created by the interim government, which the BNP had previously supported.

Without directly naming any specific political party, Fakhrul alluded to those advocating for a referendum before the election and accused them of attempting to disrupt the electoral process. Emphasizing the BNP’s stance, he asserted that any referendum should only occur on the election day scheduled for February 2026. Fakhrul firmly stated that any deviation from this timeline would not be acceptable to the people of Bangladesh.
