BNP Candidates Sweep Majority of Constituencies in 13th National Election

Unofficial reports from 41 electoral districts in the 13th national election reveal that BNP candidates have emerged victorious in the majority of the constituencies.

In Munshiganj-2, BNP’s Abdul Salam Azad secured victory with 1,19,836 votes, surpassing the closest competitor Majedul Islam of NCP who garnered 56,750 votes. Meanwhile, in Bogura-6, BNP’s Tarique Rahman clinched the unofficial win with 2,16,284 votes, leaving behind Abidur Rahman of Jamaat who obtained 97,626 votes. Similarly, in Bogura-7, BNP’s Morshed Milton secured victory with 1,58,196 votes, while Md Golam Rabbani of Jamaat trailed with 45,156 votes.

Moving to Tangail-7, BNP’s Abul Kalam Azad Siddiqui was declared the unofficial winner with 1,41,253 votes, defeating Abdullah Talukdar of Jamaat who received 71,040 votes. In Cox’s Bazar-1, BNP’s Salauddin Ahmed emerged victorious with 1,37,325 votes, surpassing Abdullah Al Faruk of Jamaat who secured 74,651 votes. Cox’s Bazar-2 saw BNP’s Alamgir Mohammad Mahfuz Ullah Farid claiming victory with 44,465 votes, while AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad of Jamaat received 24,454 votes.

In Cox’s Bazar-3, BNP’s Lutfur Rahman Kajol won with 31,352 votes, while Shahidul Alam Bahadur of Jamaat secured 28,815 votes. Conversely, Jamaat’s Nur Ahmed Anwary emerged as the unofficial winner in Cox’s Bazar-4 with 71,532 votes, closely followed by Shajahan Chowdhury of BNP who garnered 68,570 votes. In Pirojpur-1, Jamaat’s Masud Sayedee secured victory with 48,445 votes, while Alamgir Hossain of BNP received 37,117 votes.

Furthermore, in Pirojpur-2, Jamaat’s Shamim Sayedee emerged as the unofficial winner with 34,431 votes, surpassing Ahmed Sohel Manjur of BNP who obtained 30,626 votes. BNP’s Ruhul Amin Dulal claimed victory in Pirojpur-3 with 27,846 votes, while Shamim Hamidi of NCP received 16,019 votes. In Jamalpur-2, BNP’s AE Sultan Mahmud Babu secured victory with 28,830 votes, while Md Samiul Haque of Jamaat trailed with 20,181 votes.

In Feni-2, BNP’s Joynal Abedin emerged as the unofficial winner with 20,490 votes, surpassing Md Mujibur Rahman Bhuiyan of AB Party who received 12,217 votes. In Sunamganj-1, BNP’s Kamruzzaman Kamrul claimed victory with 8,848 votes, while Tofail Ahmed of Jamaat secured 5,898 votes. Additionally, in Kishoreganj-4, BNP’s Fazlur Rahman emerged as the unofficial winner with 1,29,954 votes, leaving Rokon Reza Sheikh of Jamaat behind with 57,326 votes.

Habiganj-3 witnessed BNP’s Md GK Gouse securing victory with 1,42,348 votes, surpassing Kazi Mohsin Ahmed of Jamaat who received 45,548 votes. Meanwhile, in Narsingdi-2, BNP’s Dr Abdul Moeen Khan won with 57,694 votes, while Md Amjad Hossain of Jamaat secured 36,669 votes. In Narsingdi-1, BNP’s Khairul Kabir Khokon emerged as the unofficial winner with 1,60,676 votes, surpassing Md Ibrahim Bhuiyan of Jamaat who received 92,930 votes.

Jhenaidah-2 saw Jamaat’s Ali Azam Md Abu Bakr claiming victory with 1,95,702 votes, while Abdul Majid of BNP secured 1,75,984 votes. In Sunamganj-2, BNP’s Nasiruddin Chowdhury emerged as the unofficial winner with 99,132 votes, leaving Shishir Manir of Jamaat behind with 62,587 votes. Moreover, in Brahmanbaria-6, Ganosamhati Andolon’s Zonayed Saki secured victory with 91,783 votes, surpassing Md Mohsin of Jamaat who received 37,418 votes.
