“BNP Candidates Dominate Sunamganj Elections”

BNP candidates are currently leading in all five constituencies of Sunamganj. In four of these constituencies, the primary contender against the BNP candidates holding the “sheaf of paddy” symbol is represented by the “scales,” while in the remaining constituency, an independent candidate is the closest competitor.

This update was provided at 9:00 pm today by the office of the returning officer. In Sunamganj-1 (covering Tahirpur, Jamalganj, Dharmapasha, Madhyanagar), results from 11 out of 178 centers reveal that BNP candidate Kamruzzaman Kamrul has garnered 8,848 votes, surpassing Jamaat candidate Tofayel Ahmed, who received 5,898 votes.

Moving to Sunamganj-2 constituency (encompassing Dirai and Shalla), data from 12 out of 112 centers indicate that BNP candidate Md Nasir Chowdhury secured 7,286 votes, leading over Jamaat candidate Mohammad Shishir Monir, who received 3,788 votes.

In Sunamganj-3 constituency (covering Jagannathpur and Shantiganj), results from 38 out of 148 centers show that BNP candidate Mohammad Kaysar Ahmed has received 26,044 votes, outshining independent candidate Md Anwar Hossain, who obtained 12,169 votes.

Similarly, in Sunamganj-4 constituency (encompassing Sadar and Bishwambharpur), results from 22 out of 116 centers indicate that BNP candidate Nurul Islam received 17,119 votes, surpassing Jamaat candidate Mohammad Shams Uddin, who garnered 11,041 votes.

Lastly, in Sunamganj-5 constituency (covering Chhatak and Dowarabazar), data from 25 out of 171 centers reveal that BNP candidate Kalim Uddin Ahmed secured 20,651 votes, leading over Jamaat candidate Abdus Salam Al Madani, who received 12,956 votes.
