BCB Appoints Vice-Captains for Bangladesh Cricket Teams

-

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made an official announcement on Tuesday regarding changes in leadership positions for all three formats, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Saif Hassan being appointed as vice-captains of the Test, ODI, and T20I teams, respectively.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been designated as the vice-captain of the Bangladesh Test team, where he will support Najmul Hossain Shanto. Shanto, who has been at the helm of the red-ball squad, will retain his captaincy role until the conclusion of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle.

In the ODI setup, there has been a switch in leadership roles, with Shanto assuming the vice-captaincy position under Miraz. The BCB had previously announced Miraz as the ODI captain for a term of one year back in June.

Saif Hassan has been elevated to the role of vice-captain for the T20I team following a series of strong performances in the shortest format. Litton Das will continue to lead the T20I side until the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year.
