Barishal Division’s Physiotherapist Dies in NCL Match

Barishal Division’s physiotherapist, Hasan Ahmed, tragically passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest on the third day of the 27th National Cricket League (NCL) match between Khulna Division and Barishal Division at the Khulna Divisional Stadium. Hasan, aged 47, had been dedicatedly serving as the physio for the Barishal Divisional team in the NCL for more than ten years while also holding the role of programme manager at the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma Victims.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed heartfelt condolences and sorrow over his untimely demise. In a press statement, the BCB announced that as a gesture of respect for Hasan Ahmed, the Bangladesh Team would don black armbands during the first T20 International match against the West Indies in Chattogram. Additionally, a minute of silence would be observed. The BCB also stated that teams participating in the fourth day of the ongoing NCL matches the following day would pay their respects to Hasan Ahmed as well.
