Kulsum Akter Moni secured the bronze medal in the women’s compound individual event at the Asian Archery Championships 2025 in Dhaka, narrowly defeating Si-yu Chen of Chinese Taipei by a single point with a final score of 145-144. This victory marked Bangladesh’s second medal in the tournament.
In an intense competition, Kulsum outperformed Si-yu with consistent scores of 29-30, 29-29, 29-29, 28-29, and 30-27. Earlier in the day, Bonna Akter and Himu Bachhar had also claimed silver in the compound mixed team event.
Despite a close loss to Prithika Pradeep of India in the semi-final round with a score of 145-146, Kulsum bounced back in the bronze medal match to secure her first medal of the competition.
