Two revered veteran actors from Bangladesh, Abul Hayat and Dolly Zahur, collaborate in a new television drama called “Life Is Beautiful”. The script is penned by Shafikur Rahman Shantanu and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, with production overseen by Jamal Hossain.
The drama debuted on Monday (February 16) at 2:00pm on Rangan Entertainment’s official YouTube channel. Apart from the esteemed duo, the cast features Tasnuva Tisha, Prantar Dastidar, and Sohag in supporting roles.
Director Chayanika Chowdhury mentioned that viewers can expect a nostalgic touch from the 1990s in the storyline.
Speaking about the project, Chayanika said, “Throughout the last 24 years, I have been narrating tales about relationships, love, and life’s various struggles. This drama revolves around a beautiful family narrative, and the roles demanded actors like Abul Hayat and Dolly Zahur, which is why they were selected.”
Producer Jamal Hossain emphasized his focus on family-centric storytelling in his productions. He stated, “No compromises were made in any aspect of this venture. Each character was meticulously cast according to the role’s requirements.”
Abul Hayat praised Director Chayanika, describing her as thoughtful and perceptive. He highlighted the importance of storytelling in her work and commended the freedom given to actors to portray their roles genuinely and uniquely. He expressed delight in collaborating with Dolly once again after a considerable period.
“Life Is Beautiful” merges elements of nostalgia, family relationships, and emotional storytelling, assuring audiences of a heartfelt journey back to the simplicity and warmth reminiscent of the 1990s.
