Bangladeshi Teams Shine at 2025 World Invention Competition

Seventeen teams from Bangladesh have clinched awards at the 2025 World Invention Competition and Exhibition (WICE), a global event showcasing projects in diverse fields. Among these achievements, 14 teams secured gold medals while 3 teams attained silver accolades.

WICE is an annual international competition uniting students, scholars, and creators worldwide to address real-world problems using science, engineering, and technology. The 2025 edition took place from September 21 to 26 at SEGi University in Damansara, Malaysia. The offline competition drew thousands of participants from various nations and was co-hosted by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) and SEGi University.

The competition featured different categories including Information Technology and Robotics, Applied Physics and Engineering, and Innovative Social Science, classified into Elementary, Secondary, and University levels. Evaluation criteria encompassed creativity, innovation, practicality, and presentation quality.

In the Elementary category, two Bangladeshi teams claimed gold medals: Hollow AI for their IT & Robotics project and Tarar Bari for their initiative in IT & Robotics.

At the Secondary level, eight teams from Bangladesh excelled. Gold medalists included Aquabot (Aqua Bot 2.0), Rescue Rover (Pothochari 1.0), RV14k (Eco Fusion), Young Sparks of Bangladesh (Eco Pulse), Therabot (Smart Medical Companion Robot), Deligo, and River Guard. Fusion Force earned a silver medal.

In the University category, seven Bangladeshi teams emerged victorious. Gold medalists were Chuadanga Science & Robotics Club, Team Akash Pathabo, BUBT, Phantom Forge, and Tech Autocrats. DeltaVolt and Ongona secured silver medals for their IT & Robotics projects.
