Bangladeshi Midfielder Hamza Choudhury Stays Positive Amid Disappointing Results

-

Leicester City’s Bangladeshi midfielder Hamza Choudhury maintains a positive outlook despite the disappointing outcomes in the recent AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers matches against Hong Kong. Expressing his thoughts on social media after returning to England, Hamza mentioned that although the results did not align with their efforts, he is proud to represent Bangladesh and the team. He highlighted the numerous positives to take away from the break and expressed optimism for the upcoming events in November, stating, “See you all in November InshaAllah.”

During the October FIFA window, the 26-year-old participated in both games, with Bangladesh experiencing a 4-3 loss in Dhaka followed by a 1-1 draw in the away match against Hong Kong on October 14. Hamza, who made his debut against India in Shillong in March, has swiftly emerged as a crucial player in Javier Cabrera’s squad, featuring in five matches, scoring twice, and providing an assist.

Despite Bangladesh’s elimination from Asian Cup qualification after securing only two points from four matches, Cabrera’s team still has two games remaining, with the next challenge against India scheduled for November 18. Hamza confirmed his presence in Dhaka for the upcoming fixture, emphasizing the numerous positives he derived from the recent international break and eagerly anticipating reuniting with the national team in November.
