The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has completed all necessary preparations to take part in the upcoming national parliamentary election set for February, according to Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. Rizvi made this statement today to local reporters following the Jumma prayer at Sardarpara Jame Mosque in Kurigram town. He mentioned that unless a significant national crisis arises, the election will proceed as scheduled by the government in February, preferably before Ramadan. BNP has already wrapped up its readiness to participate in the election.
When asked about Tarique Rahman’s return, Rizvi emphasized Rahman’s role as a leader for the people of the country. He indicated that considering his mother’s critical health condition, the political landscape, and the overall circumstances, Rahman will return home at an appropriate moment, with the public eagerly awaiting his comeback.
Before Rizvi’s statement, a special prayer was conducted at the mosque for the swift recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. The prayer session saw the participation of party officials, supporters, and local residents.
