Early risers formed long lines at the Monipur High School polling center in Shewrapara as early as 6:00am.
Local residents arrived promptly after morning prayers to cast their votes.

36-year-old Md Nasiruddin, a Monipur Kathaltala resident, expressed his eagerness to vote ahead of others. “I wanted to be the first to cast my vote, so I came early and queued up,” he informed The Daily Star.

By 7:15am, the queues quickly grew. Nearly a hundred male and female voters were waiting in separate lines to enter the centers. Simultaneously, polling agents representing various candidates arrived and positioned themselves inside.

The atmosphere outside Motijheel Ideal School and College was filled with anticipation, as voters gathered well in advance of the official polling start time. Priority was given to several elderly and physically challenged voters. One such individual, Sirajuddoula, who faced mobility challenges, was allowed to sit at the front of the line.

By approximately 6:45am, voters started lining up steadily. Among the early birds was Md Ismail Hossain, who joined a small queue of nine individuals, the first two attired in traditional panjabi and prayer caps.

The school falls within the Dhaka-15 constituency and hosts four polling centers numbered 22, 23, 24, and 25.
Voting officially commenced at 7:30am, with voters entering the centers in an organized manner under the supervision of election officials.
