The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revealed the team roster for the upcoming 2025 Hong Kong Sixes tournament set to take place from November 7 to 9 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.
Despite not clinching the Hong Kong Sixes title yet, Bangladesh is determined to make a strong impact this year following their impressive performance in 2024, where they made it to the semifinals.
Leading the team is wicketkeeper-batsman Akbar Ali. Notable bowling all-rounder Abu Hider Rony returns to the tournament after participating in the previous year’s event. Explosive opener Jishan Alam also secures his spot after a remarkable performance in the 2024 edition, scoring 152 runs with an average of 76 and claiming six wickets in four matches.
The squad also features Mohammad Saifuddin, who was part of the team last year and managed to secure three wickets in four games. Adding experience to the team is Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, who has played in 80 international matches for Bangladesh across all formats.
Rounding off the lineup are left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and pace-bowling all-rounder Tofael Ahmed Rayhan, providing balance and variety to the team composition.
