A deputy director at Bangladesh Bank (BB) named Nayeem Rahman has gone missing since Sunday, prompting his family and colleagues to request public assistance in finding him. Nayeem, a member of the Assistant Director Batch 19, was last seen at the BB office on Sunday, November 9. He disappeared after 12:00pm, leaving his office bag and ID card behind, as per a statement from BB. Mobile tracking data indicated his last location in Dhaka’s Sayedabad area at 12:53pm when he messaged a batchmate. The message suggested that he was feeling extremely down due to undisclosed reasons, BB mentioned in the statement. Nayeem, who is the sole son in his family, has led to a general diary being lodged with Mirpur Police Station in Dhaka. Authorities are actively investigating the situation and working to locate him. BB has urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or BB official.
