Rangs Limited, the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Bangladesh, unveiled the Mitsubishi Destinator at the Dhaka Motor Show 2026 held on April 24.
Positioned as a high-end family-oriented vehicle with a seven-seat layout, the Mitsubishi Destinator boasts a 1.5-liter turbocharged MIVEC engine generating 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission. Its engine size of 1,499cc places it in a favorable tax category under Bangladesh’s vehicle tax system, as stated by the distributor.
During the launch event, Muidur Rahman Tanvir, the CEO of Rangs Limited, expressed confidence in the Mitsubishi Destinator, stating, “With its efficient 1.5-liter engine and tax benefits, we anticipate this SUV will enhance the accessibility of premium car ownership for our customers.”
The vehicle’s interior features a two-tone design with synthetic leather seats and a panoramic sunroof. It is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen supporting wireless smartphone connectivity, an 8-inch digital instrument panel, and an eight-speaker audio system developed in collaboration with Yamaha.
In terms of safety, the Mitsubishi Destinator includes six airbags, Active Yaw Control (AYC), and Forward Collision Mitigation systems. Additional amenities comprise rear passenger air vents, an air purification mechanism, LED lighting components, and 18-inch alloy wheels, according to Rangs Limited.
