Aloha Bangladesh recently hosted its 18th National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition on April 3 and 4 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). The event brought together over 3,400 students from approximately 600 schools across the nation. This annual competition, which has been organized by Aloha since 2008, aims to enhance cognitive and numerical skills in children through abacus-based learning.
During the two-day competition, participants were given a time limit of five minutes to solve up to 70 intricate arithmetic problems. The challenges were designed to evaluate both the speed and accuracy of the students. Winners of the competition were honored with awards and certificates. Some outstanding participants are set to represent Bangladesh at the upcoming Aloha International Competition scheduled to be held in Panama later this year.
Aloha, a globally recognized ISO-certified learning system, operates in more than 40 countries and has impacted over six million students worldwide. The program has a presence in various countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, China, India, and Malaysia. In Bangladesh, Aloha has been actively providing training since 2006 through its numerous branches across the nation.
