Sylhet, Bangladesh: Nakibuzzaman Nakib, Member Secretary of the Saudi Arabia Provincial BNP, fell ill during a Milad and prayer gathering organized to mark the 54th birthday of Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, in Fenchuganj, Sylhet. He was immediately taken to the hospital and later admitted to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) after receiving initial treatment.
According to sources, the prayer program was organized under the overall supervision of Nakibuzzaman Nakib at the Fenchuganj Fertilizer Factory area. The event was attended by local BNP leaders and activists, members of its affiliated organizations, and people from different walks of life.
During the program, Nakib suddenly became unwell, prompting those present to rush him to Sylhet Heart Foundation Hospital. After conducting a medical assessment and providing primary treatment, attending physicians admitted him to the hospital’s Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) for close observation and specialized care.
Following news of his illness, concern spread among BNP leaders and supporters. BNP Co-Organizing Secretary for Sylhet Division, Miftah Siddiqui, visited the hospital to inquire about Nakib’s condition. He spoke with the attending physicians and discussed the necessary measures to ensure appropriate medical treatment.
Hospital sources said Nakibuzzaman Nakib is currently under intensive medical observation, with doctors closely monitoring his condition.
Meanwhile, his family members, relatives, colleagues, political associates, and well-wishers have requested prayers from the public for his speedy recovery, expressing hope that he will soon regain his health and return to his regular activities.
