All types of Indian visas are set to gradually return to regular processing levels, as highlighted by Aniruddha Das, the assistant high commissioner at the Assistant High Commission of India located in Sylhet. During an interaction with journalists at the Sylhet Zilla Press Club, Das mentioned that currently, medical and double-entry visas are being issued, with plans in place to resume the issuance of travel visas and other visa categories.
Emphasizing the significance of visa issuance in strengthening ties between neighboring countries, Das assured full cooperation in the process. He emphasized that the relationship between India and Bangladesh is built on mutual respect and shared interests, with citizens playing a central role in maintaining long-term cooperation.
Aniruddha stressed that the people of both nations are key stakeholders in fostering a stable, positive, and mutually beneficial relationship. He also underlined the importance of utilizing the geographical proximity, cultural similarities, and economic potential to unlock new prospects for cooperation.
Moin Uddin, the President of Sylhet Zilla Press Club, chaired the discussion, while Mohammad Nasir Uddin, the General Secretary, moderated it. The event was attended by journalists from various news organizations.
