Veteran actress Pravina Deshpande, aged 60, passed away on Tuesday due to a long battle with cancer. Her family announced the sad news via her official Instagram account, revealing that her cremation took place at the Hindu Crematorium in Chakala Parsiwada, Andheri East, Mumbai on the same day. The statement was signed by Aniruddha, Abhimanyu, Ruchira, and Veer Deshpande.
The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) also offered their condolences, acknowledging Deshpande’s membership since 2008.
Throughout her career, Deshpande showcased her talent in Hindi and Marathi films, television shows, theater productions, and web series. She was recognized for her supporting roles in movies like “Ready” alongside Salman Khan, “Ek Villain,” and “Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.”
On the small screen, she graced popular serials such as “Ghar Ek Mandir,” “Kumkum,” “Karam Apnaa Apnaa,” and “Kulfi Kumar Bajewala.” Her final on-screen appearance was in the web series “Taskaree,” featuring Emraan Hashmi.
