“Humand Secures $66M to Expand AI HR App for Non-Desk Employees”

-

Humand, a startup developing an AI-driven HR management app tailored for non-desk employees, has secured $66 million in Series A funding to enhance its presence in the United States, as revealed in a recent Bloomberg News report. Goodwater Capital and Kaszek Ventures jointly spearheaded the funding round, with Y Combinator and notable angel investors such as Arash Ferdowsi from Dropbox and Rajat Suri from Lyft also participating.

The company’s mobile application consolidates internal communications, culture-building features, scheduling, benefits details, and training resources into a unified platform tailored for workers who predominantly use smartphones, as detailed in the Bloomberg report. Humand estimates that around 80% of the global workforce, equivalent to approximately 2.7 billion individuals, are engaged in roles within sectors like factories, construction sites, retail outlets, and healthcare facilities, where access to company email or conventional enterprise communication tools is limited.

Established in 2020 by Argentine entrepreneurs who crossed paths during their college years in Buenos Aires, Humand disclosed to Bloomberg that it presently caters to over 1.5 million employees across 1,500 international companies, including notable names like Siemens, Home Depot, and Domino’s Pizza. The company has set a target of onboarding 10,000 corporate clients within the next five years.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Humand announced its intention to leverage the new funding to expedite the development of AI agents engineered to streamline manual tasks and empower HR teams with enhanced oversight over communication, culture, operations, and talent enhancement initiatives.
