China has officially announced that starting tomorrow, citizens from Canada and the United Kingdom can enter the country without needing a visa. This decision comes after the respective prime ministers of the UK and Canada, Keir Starmer and Mark Carney, made official visits to Beijing in January to strengthen ties with China and shift focus away from the United States. During their visits, both leaders engaged in discussions with top Chinese officials, including President Xi Jinping, leading to agreements such as visa-free travel for their citizens to China. The Chinese foreign ministry confirmed the visa-free access for Canadian and British citizens to China, effective from tomorrow.
