Bangladesh’s market share in the European Union’s apparel market saw a rise to 21.57% in 2025, up from 20.78% in 2024 due to the growing demand for locally manufactured apparel in the EU. According to Eurostat figures, Bangladesh maintained its position as the second-largest supplier of garments to the EU in 2025, with apparel exports totaling 19.41 billion euros, an increase from 18.31 billion euros in 2024.
China, the leading exporter of garments, captured a 29.54% market share by exporting apparel valued at 26.58 billion euros to the EU in 2025, as reported by Eurostat. The EU’s total garment imports in 2025 amounted to 89.99 billion euros.
In 2025, Turkey emerged as the third-largest garment exporter to the EU, with India following in the fourth position.
