Professor Yunus Applauds Successful Election & Referendum

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed his warm congratulations and appreciation to the nation following the successful conclusion of the 13th national parliamentary election and the referendum-2026 in a peaceful and organized manner. In a statement released by his press office after the voting closed at 4:30 pm, he commended the enthusiastic participation of voters, the responsible behavior of political parties, the restraint exhibited by candidates, and the professionalism displayed by all institutions involved in the electoral process, showcasing the unwavering commitment to democracy.

He highlighted that through exercising their constitutional rights, citizens actively contributed to shaping the country’s future. Professor Yunus extended special thanks to the Election Commission, law enforcement agencies, armed forces, administration, observer teams, media personnel, and all individuals engaged in the voting process for their dedication and hard work, which made the successful completion of this significant democratic event possible.

Emphasizing the importance of upholding democratic values, tolerance, and mutual respect even after the announcement of final results, he urged political parties and candidates to prioritize national unity above differences of opinion.
