Reigning champions Argentina have been drawn to compete against Algeria, Austria, and first-time qualifiers Jordan in their group for the 2026 World Cup, as revealed in a draw held in Washington on Friday. Brazil, who have won the World Cup five times, will face Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti in their group, while France is set to play against Senegal, Norway, and a team from the playoffs in their group.

The 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026, will feature 12 groups following the draw in Washington. Among the notable groups are Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, and Euro playoff D in Group A, and Canada, Euro playoff A, Qatar, and Switzerland in Group B. The teams in the remaining groups include the USA, Paraguay, Australia, and Euro playoff C in Group D, Germany, Curacao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador in Group E, Netherlands, Japan, Euro playoff B, and Tunisia in Group F, Belgium, Egypt, Iran, and New Zealand in Group G, Spain, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay in Group H, France, Senegal, Fifa playoff 2, and Norway in Group I, Argentina, Algeria, Austria, and Jordan in Group J, Portugal, Fifa playoff 1, Uzbekistan, and Colombia in Group K, and England, Croatia, Ghana, and Panama in Group L.
