Bangladesh, the hosts, secured their second consecutive victory in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup by defeating Germany with a score of 57–27 at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur today.
After a strong start on Monday with a win over African champions Uganda with a score of 42–22, Bangladesh continued their winning streak in their second match against Germany. Shraboni Mallik, Brishti Biswas, and Smriti Akter led the charge, scoring points through successful raids and keeping the opponents at bay.
Within just five minutes of the match, Bangladesh took a commanding 10–0 lead, inflicting the first all-out on Germany. Despite Germany showing some resistance, Bangladesh showcased their dominance with superior tactics and gameplay, testing various players throughout the match.
Germany faced their second all-out in the 10th minute, trailing 22–5. Bangladesh maintained their lead at halftime with a score of 28–9.
In the second half, Bangladesh allowed Germany to score some points due to slight complacency. However, with six minutes left, Germany faced their third all-out, with the score standing at 43–21.
The match concluded with Bangladesh emerging victorious at 57–27, with Germany experiencing another all-out before the final whistle.
