Following closely behind was “Sinners,” which secured four wins. The movie snagged the newly introduced best casting and ensemble award, with Francine Maisle accepting the honor. Miles Caton was lauded as the best young actor for his role, while Ryan Coogler scooped the best original screenplay accolade. Ludwig Göransson’s exceptional work on the score earned him the best score award.
In the realm of film acting, Timothée Chalamet bagged the best actor title for “Marty Supreme,” while Jessie Buckley triumphed as the best actress for her performance in “Hamnet.” Jacob Elordi was recognized as the best supporting actor for “Frankenstein,” and Amy Madigan shone as the best supporting actress in “Weapons.”
Turning to television, “Adolescence” stood out as the best limited series, with cast members Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham, and Owen Cooper earning acting accolades, as well as Sarah Snook for “All Her Fault.” Additionally, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was honored as the best talk show.
Drama series performances were highlighted by Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa for “The Pitt,” Tramell Tillman for “Severance,” and Rhea Seehorn for “Pluribus.” In the comedy genre, “The Studio” clinched the best comedy series award, with Seth Rogen and Ike Barinholtz recognized for their acting roles, alongside Jean Smart for “Hacks” and Janelle James for “Abbott Elementary.”
In the animation category, “KPop Demon Hunters” secured the title of best animated feature, with their song “Golden” also winning the best song award.
Chelsea Handler returned as the host for the fourth consecutive year, overseeing the ceremony. This year’s awards saw the introduction of four new categories: best casting and ensemble, best variety series, stunt design, and sound.
