Bangladeshi actor Ilias Kanchan, a well-known figure, has been making progress in his recovery from a brain tumour while receiving treatment in London. After a period of nearly six months undergoing medical care, there has been a notable improvement in his condition. Liton Ershad, a key figure in the road safety organization Nirapad Sarak Chai (NISCHA), shared this positive update with The Daily Star. According to Ershad, Ilias Kanchan, the esteemed actor, has shown around a 50 percent improvement in his health status. He is now able to communicate and recognize familiar faces, a significant development considering his previous struggles with speech. The surgical team successfully removed a substantial portion of the tumour, and ongoing efforts involve addressing the remaining portion through radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Liton also mentioned the possibility of organizing a virtual press briefing with Kanchan in mid-December, contingent upon his health condition. On 5 August, after a thorough period of tests and evaluations, Ilias Kanchan underwent a critical brain surgery at Wellington Hospital in London. Since the diagnosis of his brain tumour, the veteran actor has been under medical care in London for the past six months.
