Md Omar Faruk Khan Honored with Lifetime Islamic Banking Leadership Award

Md Omar Faruk Khan, the managing director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, was honored with the prestigious “Lifetime Excellence in Islamic Banking Leadership Award” at the 2025 Global NRB Awards. Ahsan H Mansur, the governor of Bangladesh Bank, presented the award to Khan during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Dhaka in Banani. The event, organized by NRB World in celebration of International Expatriates Day on December 30, 2025, was attended by various distinguished guests, including expatriate entrepreneurs, industrialists, professionals, and scholars from 25 different countries. Enamul Haque Enam, the founder of NRB World, was also in attendance at the ceremony.
