After creating a buzz with a stunning diamond ring worn at the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus has officially announced her engagement to her long-time partner, Maxx Morando, with whom she has been together for four years.
Various reliable sources, such as Page Six and People, have confirmed the news following the couple’s joint appearance at the movie’s global premiere on Monday. Miley’s song “Dream As One” is featured in the film’s soundtrack.
The 33-year-old pop icon and 27-year-old drummer Maxx were seen posing together on the red carpet, where Miley proudly displayed a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger. The ring, mounted on a thick gold band, was prominently visible in event photographs.
In an interview with People, Miley expressed her joy about this phase in her life, describing herself as “amazed” to be taking the next step in her relationship with Maxx, who drums for the band Liily.
Miley emphasized the importance of maintaining privacy and intimacy in their relationship, highlighting her surprise at successfully safeguarding their personal lives and exercising control over what they choose to reveal. She noted that age has made her more cautious about sharing personal details publicly.
Drawing parallels between her own life and the themes of “Avatar,” Miley underlined the film’s exploration of concepts like love, family, resilience, reconnection, and unity. She shared that the movie’s themes resonate deeply with her current life stage.
As reported by Deux Moi, Miley was initially spotted wearing the ring in mid-November, where it was clearly visible in images from her birthday celebration later that month. A representative of jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, Francesca Simons, confirmed that the ring was custom-made by Jacquie and features a cushion-cut stone on a wide 14-karat yellow gold band.
The couple’s relationship commenced in December 2021 when they were photographed intimately interacting backstage at Miley’s New Year’s Eve bash in Miami. By April 2022, their relationship seemed official following public sightings of them kissing in West Hollywood.
