“Trump Slams UN for Supporting Illegal Migration”

-

In his recent speech at the United Nations following his return to the White House, US President Donald Trump criticized the organization for what he perceives as a failure to promote peace and for allegedly supporting illegal migration. Trump, speaking at the UN General Assembly, accused the UN of facilitating a migration “assault” on Western nations and criticized its handling of global warming concerns as a deceptive scheme.

Trump questioned the purpose of the United Nations and expressed disappointment in its perceived lack of action and effectiveness. He criticized the UN for what he described as issuing empty statements without meaningful follow-up, emphasizing the need for concrete actions to resolve conflicts and wars.

On the occasion of the UN’s 80th anniversary, Trump called for stricter border controls and the expulsion of foreigners, accusing the UN of promoting a “globalist migration agenda.” He urged world leaders to close their borders and criticized European nations for what he viewed as enabling international migration due to political correctness.

Trump also took aim at UN programs that he claimed support migrant journeys to the US, accusing the organization of funding an attack on Western countries. Additionally, he highlighted issues with equipment at the UN headquarters, including a malfunctioning escalator and teleprompter.

Despite his efforts to end conflicts, Trump acknowledged challenges in resolving conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. He criticized Washington’s allies for recognizing a Palestinian state, calling it a reward for Hamas and urging the release of hostages for peace.

Trump further criticized European allies, China, and India for continuing oil purchases from Russia, while signaling readiness to impose sanctions. His second term has been marked by nationalist policies, including withdrawing from international agreements and imposing sanctions on foreign entities.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of the consequences of aid cuts led by the US, describing the impact as “wreaking havoc.” Guterres emphasized the importance of upholding laws and values in global decision-making.

Trump is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Argentina’s President Javier Milei during the summit. Security measures have been heightened around the UN district following the disruption of a potential communication-related threat involving a large number of cellphone SIM cards.
