Shimanto Bank PLC recently held its “Annual Risk Conference 2025” at its headquarters in Dhaka. The event was inaugurated by ANM Moinul Kabir, who serves as the director of the Off-site Supervision Department at Bangladesh Bank. Mohammad Azizul Hoque, the current acting Managing Director and CEO, was also present at the conference.
During the conference, attendees delved into in-depth discussions regarding the bank’s thorough risk assessment, risk management framework, strategies for risk mitigation, supervision methods for capital, investment risks, money-laundering risks, and other crucial steps to address potential future risks in the business landscape. The session was led by Mahmuda Haque, a joint director at Bangladesh Bank.
Md Sahidul Islam, the bank’s Head of Business, alongside senior management members, unit leaders, branch and sub-branch managers, customer service managers, and officials from various departments actively participated in the conference.
