Former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Salina Hayat Ivy has been newly arrested by the police in an additional five cases. According to Court Police Inspector Kaium Khan, four of these cases involve murder charges, while the fifth case pertains to obstructing government operations. Ivy’s lawyer, Awlad Hossain, asserted that Ivy is not directly implicated in any of these cases, as none of the arrested individuals have provided evidence linking her to the alleged crimes. Hossain further noted that Ivy had previously obtained bail from the High Court, and he believes that these recent arrest warrants are merely an attempt to prolong her detention. Hossain confirmed their intent to challenge the recent court orders through the higher court.
