This Morning star Craig Doyle was called ‘bonkers’ by his co-star Sian Welby during Thursday’s show. The remark unfolded after the ITV host spoke about his Christmas with Sian Welby.
Sian highlighted how it can sometimes get a bit heated over the holidays with family but Craig had found a way to avoid any rows. He replied: “Yeah, I have a solution.”
Admitting Sian had taken the clip from his phone, viewers were shown Craig topless in a grey beanie hat. Commenting on the clip, he said: “Not only Christmas, because I’m going to keep this going all year around. Not just for the sore bits when you get old, but you know when you feel you’re on the verge of a row this is what you have to do ok, this is my Christmas day trick.”
The video played as Craig was heard saying the one way to stay cool when a Christmas dinner was approaching was to take a sudden plunge into freezing water.
While in the tub, he could be heard sarcastically saying: “No mum, it’s fine, no you don’t annoy me at all, you’re alright!” When the short clip ended he confessed having no arguments on Christmas day after the dip.
He said: “Honestly, get that to about three or four degrees, get yourself in there, all the frustration leaves you.” However, his co-star didn’t seem convinced.
Laughing, Sian replied: “I think you’re bonkers going in an ice bath. I can’t imagine anything worse.” Although Craig had nothing but praise for the dip, calling it ‘brilliant’.
Addressing viewers at home, the presenter prompted people to try it themselves and send videos to the show. Sian quipped: “No one else is mad enough to do that!”
Elsewhere during the show, Craig touched on it being Sian’s first Christmas with her baby girl. The ITV star joked: “My house is full of plastic tat right now!”
Sharing that her little one was given multiple toys, she told Craig it was a lovely time overall. She said: “It was really nice!”
Sian and Craig hosting the programme together has gone down well with viewers as many are calling for them to be permanent presenters. One person commented: “Excellent presenting duo Craig & Sian.”
Another said: “They should make Craig and Sian permanent presenters.” With someone else writing: “It’s 2025 please this year can we have more Craig Doyle! Joy to watch with ease. Professional warm and such a easy watch.”
