Tragic final post of model and DJ who died on Bali holiday after falling from balcony

-

The heart-wrenching final post of late DJ and model, Courtney Mills, has been revealed.

The Australian died last week in Kuta, Bali, aged 37, after falling from a balcony of an apartment complex in Kuta, Bali, where she had been visiting her two dogs. Courtney suffered critical injuries and was rushed to hospital to undergo several emergency operations while on life support. Sadly, she could not be saved and died surrounded by loved ones two days later.

Following the shock loss, Courtney’s haunting last Instagram post has been revealed. Just five days before she died, the model can be seen dancing in a clip, in which she poses next to a balcony railing.

Wearing a pink bikini, she dances to Aqua’s 1990s hit, Barbie Girl, and blows a kiss to her followers before looking out over the balcony.

The post has resurfaced after it emerged Courtney narrowly escaped death on two separate occasions in Bali before Friday’s fatal plunge. The Australian fell down a flight of stairs on the Indonesian island in 2023, hitting her head so badly it caused a bleed on her brain.

And in 2018 Courtney was involved in a scooter crash while in the country for a wedding which badly injured her ex-boyfriend.

Following her last post on social media, the star’s legion of loyal fans have flocked to the comments section, paying tribute to Courtney.

One wrote: “Can’t believe the news still. A talented DJ and individual gone way too soon. RIP Courtney.” Another said: “She seemed so happy. Sad news and at such a young age.”

Courtney’s older sister Kiana and mum Diane flew out to Bali to be by her side in her final moments. In an Instagram post, Kiana said her sister had been placed on life support and underwent multiple operations, but tragically could not be saved from her grave injuries.

Paying tribute to her sibling, she said: “It is with such a heavy heart that we share the news of Courtney’s passing. Mum and I arrived in Bali Saturday and were with her by her side right until the end.

“We know you have found peace, we know you have found happiness, but we will miss you every single day! We wish to honour her and leave a part of her here. We will then return home with her ashes, to celebrate her life, Courtney style, in Melbourne.”

Giving an insight into the star’s treasured job as a DJ, Kiana told the Herald Sun: “She would drive hours and hours just to DJ for one hour. She would fly across the country to do the job she loved so passionately and to her it wasn’t a job, it was a life. Being behind those decks was her sense of freedom and we got to see her light up rooms.”

Meanwhile, Courtney’s heartbroken mum, Diane Mayne, told Nine News her daughter was “beautiful, big hearted, happy and go lucky.”
