“Explosion Rocks Bronx Residential Building, No Injuries Reported”

An explosion shook a tall residential building in the Bronx, New York today, causing a section from the floor to the roof to be blown off and alarming residents in the Mott Haven area. Robert Tucker, the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) Commissioner, mentioned that a collapse of a ventilation shaft linked to the boiler was suspected to be the source of the explosion. He stated that investigators would determine the exact cause.
