“Ibn Sina Pharma’s Profits Double, Revenue Surges”

Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry experienced a significant surge in profits during the period of July-September, with its net profit more than doubling due to robust revenue growth and increased other income. According to the company’s financial reports, the net profit soared by 160 percent year-on-year to Tk 22 crore.

The company’s revenue also saw a notable increase, rising by 35 percent year-on-year to Tk 372 crore, while other income went up by 13 percent to Tk 94 lakh. Earnings per share for the July-September quarter spiked to Tk 7.08, compared to Tk 2.72 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Despite the positive financial results, the company’s net operating cash flow per share declined from Tk 9.71 to Tk 5.46. Data from the Dhaka Stock Exchange as of October 31, 2025, revealed that sponsors and directors held 44.68 percent of Ibn Sina Pharma shares, while the public owned 31.89 percent, with the rest being held by institutional and foreign investors.

Established in 1983, Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry commenced commercial operations in 1986 and went public in 1989. Over the years, the company has diversified its product offerings, introducing ophthalmic products in 1995, natural medicine in 2008, and a cephalosporin plant in 2016. Currently, the company markets a wide range of over 100 products within Bangladesh’s healthcare industry.
