Spotify is rolling out a new feature that allows users to seamlessly transfer playlists from other music platforms directly into the app. This update includes a global integration with “TuneMyMusic” within the Spotify mobile app, enabling individuals to migrate their existing playlists without any song loss or the need to recreate collections manually.
To utilize this feature, users can go to the Library tab and select the “Import your music” option, where they can link their external accounts through TuneMyMusic. The playlists will then be automatically synced to their Spotify account.
This tool is part of Spotify’s broader initiative to empower users with more control over their music libraries. Once playlists are imported, users can enhance them with collaborative functionalities and personalized transitions. Additionally, in certain regions, Smart Filters are available to categorize music based on mood, genre, or activity.
Spotify’s recommendation system adjusts promptly after users begin listening to the imported playlists, facilitating quicker customization of personalized mixes. The platform also emphasizes enhanced social features for younger audiences, such as real-time collaborative playlists, in-app messaging for users aged 16 and above in specific countries, and shared listening sessions for Premium subscribers.
