Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Split After 19 Years

-

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country music star Keith Urban have decided to part ways after being married for 19 years, as reported by multiple news sources on Monday. The high-profile couple made the decision to live separately earlier this summer, with Urban relocating from their Nashville, Tennessee home to his own place in the city’s music scene, according to TMZ.com, which first broke the news.

While TMZ and People magazine noted that Kidman was against the split and is actively working to salvage their relationship, Reuters could not verify the separation independently. Representatives for both entertainers did not respond immediately to requests for comments from various media outlets.

Both aged 58 and 57, Kidman and Urban kickstarted their careers in Australia before attaining dual U.S. and Australian citizenship. Their paths crossed in January 2005 during a Hollywood event promoting Australia, leading to their marriage in Sydney in June the following year.

The couple shares two daughters, Faith Margaret, 14, and Sunday Rose, 17, with Kidman also having two adopted children from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise. Kidman, acclaimed for her role as author Virginia Woolf in “The Hours” which earned her an Academy Award, recently posted a picture with Urban on social media in June to commemorate their wedding anniversary as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Urban, a four-time Grammy winner, shared images of the couple on his social media account in May after attending the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, where he received the ACM Triple Crown. Kidman wrapped up filming for a sequel to the movie “Practical Magic” alongside Sandra Bullock earlier this month, while Urban has been on tour since May in support of his 11th studio album, “High,” as reported by THR.
