Legendary rock band Def Leppard is set to receive the 2,825th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, October 9, at 11:30 a.m. PT. The ceremony will include speeches from Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, the president and CEO of Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), and will be hosted by Sirius XM radio personality Bob Buchmann.
The star honoring Def Leppard will be placed at 1750 N. Vine Street, right in front of the renowned Capitol Records building. Fans worldwide will be able to witness the event through a live stream on the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
In a statement, Ana Martinez, the producer of the Walk of Fame, expressed, “Def Leppard has not only carved a place in music history but will now be permanently etched on one of the most famous sidewalks globally.”
This recognition follows the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, where they were presented with the honor by Brian May of Queen. Def Leppard boasts two U.S. Diamond-certified albums, “Hysteria” (12 million) and “Pyromania” (10 million). Additionally, they have claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 with “Hysteria” and “Adrenalize” and secured a No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 with their hit track “Love Bites.”
The current lineup features Joe Elliott on vocals, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell on guitars, Rick Savage on bass, and Rick Allen on drums.
Since 1960, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has been overseeing Walk of Fame ceremonies, honoring global icons with stars that attract millions of visitors annually.
