-

The Katthakiya Center of Arts has achieved a significant international milestone with its renowned production “Ontoheen” being chosen to participate in the ‘2025 Next-Generation Asian Artistes Community Initiative – Beyond Borders: Asia’s New Wave’, hosted by the Asian Culture Center in South Korea. Following a rigorous selection process, “Ontoheen” is set to grace the stage on October 3, representing Bangladesh at a prominent cultural event in Asia.

Leading the team is S M Hasan Ishtiaque Imran, the founder and director of Katthakiya, accompanied by three distinguished independent artists – Anandita Khan, Asif Muhammed Musaddeque, and Annessha Biswas Agni. Together, they will showcase Bangladeshi theatre on the global platform, embodying the nation’s artistic essence across boundaries.

In addition to their performance, the ensemble will engage in a series of workshops aimed at promoting cultural exchange, dialogue, and collaboration among emerging Asian talents, fostering new avenues for creative partnerships.

This selection not only marks a triumph for the Katthakiya Center of Arts but also enhances Bangladesh’s footprint in the worldwide arts landscape.
